 I pray that you had a blessed Christmas time celebrating the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. We had a bit of misfortune, but the Lord turned it for good. We had thieves break into our house on Saturday, but they did not take anything away with them. A miracle happened that day! I was fast asleep around 3:30 a.m., and they had managed to get in by breaking a burglar bar on the window. They had the things they wanted to steal ready to take out of the room. At that minute, I just woke up from my sleep. I had not heard any noise or anything to alert me, so I am sure and positive that it was the still small voice of the Holy Spirit that woke me! I went right to that room and opened the door to see one of the thieves right in the middle of the house, and the 2 screwdrivers that they had been using lying on the floor. He might have been shocked to see me there, as maybe they had seen that we were all fast asleep, so did not expect me. He tried to run away and go through the window, but looked back and acted as if coming towards me or wanting to at least get out with some of our things. But I was now yelling at the top of my voice and making a lot of noise with the door to wake up my husband, so he ran away. When he got out, I ran to look out the window and saw another one outside the house. Really, when the word of God tells us to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, we should be! When the Lord tells us to wake up and pray or tells us to do something, we should listen! If I had not listened to the tape of the Holy Spirit that day, we could have lost our things. Due to the hardships here, we now have so many thieves. The miracle is that they were actually able to gain entry in the house and were in the house when I woke up, but did not manage to take anything out! The blood of Jesus would not allow that to happen! The evil one thought he was disadvantaging me, but I have gained more in the Lord after this! Nothing will separate me from my God, as he has shown me that he is concerned about every area of my life! |
Abortion was approved over 30 years ago.In the late '60's, Dr. Bernard Nathanson helped start a pro-abortion group called NARAL (National Association for the Repeal of Abortion Laws) and he served on its medical committee. In an interview with WorldNetDaily, Dr. Nathanson (one of the principal creators and strategists of the abortion movement in the U.S.) tells how he and others sat down together to make up catchy slogans for abortion, such as "Freedom of choice - a basic American right!" But they didn't stop with simply making up slogans. They also made up false "facts" to give the media. Knowing that most Americans were against abortion, these strategists manufactured fake results of fictional polls. They knew that most people want to go along with the majority. So, although they hadn't actually done any polls themselves, they announced to the media that they had. Their "polls" showed 60% of Americans were in favor of permitting abortion. The media carried that lie. That was just the start of many lies that were created to convince the public of the need for abortion-on-demand. For example, in order to arouse sympathy to legalize abortion, they lied about the number of illegal abortions being done yearly. Instead of the true number - 100,000 - the figure they gave to the media was ONE MILLION! Dr. Nathanson says, "This is the tactic of a self-fulfilling lie. Repeating the big lie often enough convinces the people." While the true number of women dying annually from illegal abortions was actually around 200 - 250, the figure they constantly fed to the media was 10,000. After abortion was legalized, Dr. Nathanson set up a clinic in New York called the Center for Reproductive & Sexual Health (C.R.A.S.H.) It had 10 operating rooms, 35 doctors, 85 nurses, and operated seven days a week from 8 AM to midnight! They did 120 abortions every day in that clinic, and Dr. Nathanson admits that he himself has personally done 5,000 abortions and supervised another 10,000 done by resident doctors.  But somewhere along the way, the truth began to bother Dr. Nathanson. It also began to convict Norma McCorvey, the woman called "Jane Roe" in the historic court case Roe versus Wade, which ended with the Supreme Court decision for abortion. Norma admits that her case was actually based on phony "facts," because she lied about being raped. She is now on the other side of the abortion issue and is a pro-life Christian who runs a ministry exposing the truth about abortion. Dr. Nathanson has also repented for his part in the murder of thousands of innocent babies. He is now exposing the deceitful, destructive, money-making abortion business for what it really is... legalized murder. Recently NARAL changed its name for the third time since 1969. Now it's called Naral Pro Choice America. But opponents like Ken Connor, the president of the Family Research Council, say, "It's not like choosing between chocolate and vanilla. We are talking about the right to choose to kill and unborn child!" Abortion will be a major issue in the upcoming 2004 election. NARAL plans a multimillion dollar campaign to bombard TV and newspapers with advertisements promoting abortion as "pro-choice."  But remember... God is PRO-LIFE! came to Jesus telling him, "My servant is gravely ill at home - paralyzed and terribly tortured by severe pain." Jesus offered to come and heal the servant. Most people would jump at the chance to have Jesus personally come to their house. But this Roman commander knew something about "authority through words." He knew that he himself, being a captain, could speak to those under his command, and they would obey. So he told Jesus that it wouldn't be necessary for him to come to this house. "Speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed." Jesus was amazed at this man's faith, and said to the man, "Go your way; as you have believed, you get what you believed for!" The man's servant was healed that very hour! (read this for yourself in Matt. 8:5-13) This is proof that the spoken Word of God mixed with faith is equal to a personal visit by Jesus to your house! |
